SOME OF MY UNPUBLISHED BOOKS

I have written over sixty books, and I have only published twenty-five, because there are literally millions of books on the market now, and mine are invisible.

I have 25 eBooks and audiobooks on Google Play Books which distribute to more than 75 countries, but after two years, only one of my books has been sold.

It’s a somewhat better situation with Draft2Digital who distribute books to over a dozen major digital retailers and library systems through its partner networks on platforms such as Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Smashwords, Tolino, Vivlio, Everand and Fable.

Below is a selection of some of the books that I have not published, all of which are wonderful stories in their own right. To any publisher who is looking for the next best seller, you will probably realise that these stories have great potential.

PS. I am not interested in self-publishing at all, but I may consider a hybrid publisher…but that is yet to be seen.

A MASTERPIECE OF CREATION

This is the story of Arthur McKenna, an Australian artist whose life is guided by a mysterious spiritual force. From his childhood by the sea, Arthur develops a love for art and a deep connection to invisible energies. As he grows up, he struggles between the strict rules of art school and his own creative instincts, but meetings with wise teachers helps him to discover his purpose.

Arthur has many remarkable experiences, such as having his lost passport returned with a special angelic message while in London, and the gift of a jade brooch of Kuan Yin for healing a woman with a migraine headache. His journey takes him through meditation and encounters with spiritual guides, and one particularly powerful experience with Buddha at a temple in Sri Lanka.

Arthur’s art becomes a way to share spiritual truths from a life that has been shaped by unseen forces, and his greatest masterpiece is not his art, but the realisation that he, like everyone else, is a masterpiece of creation.

JESUS IN JAPAN

This story is based on a legend that Jesus ended up in Japan, married a local woman, had three children, became a garlic farmer and died at the ripe old age of 106 and is buried in the village of Shingo

After fleeing persecution in his own land, a gentle wanderer arrives on the shores of Japan and quietly changes a village—not with miracles, but with laughter, patience, and an open heart.

He teaches fishermen clever tricks, he races children up a mountain, he mends broken bowls with gold, he invents ridiculous dances and discovers that falling well can be its own kind of wisdom.

Known as the Sensei of the Shining Bowls, Jesus builds a life rooted in friendship, family, and the daily joys of life, a reminder to everyone that kindness is given and not earned. Jesus in Japan is a warm, whimsical tale of faith punctuated by humour, about the life of a man who left the world a lot kinder than he found it.

KYLE STARBOURNE

This is a story for YA readers.

In a world ruled by the tyrannical Regents, a young orphan named Kyle Starborne discovers that he has inherited the ancient power of the Shard. When dark rulers known as the Regents send their armies to destroy his city, Kyle discovers that he is connected to an ancient light called the Shard—a force that is meant to protect and not harm. With the help of loyal friends, Kyle learns to trust himself and stand up to fear. In the end, he does not win by fighting with anger, but by choosing kindness, fairness, and courage, and ultimately, he helps to create a brighter world where everyone can live in peace.

THE MAN WITH THE MANDOLINO

This story is based on a Dean Martin song from the 1960s called The Man Who Plays the Mandolino. It takes place in Naples and follows a journalist named Guilia Esposito, seeking a human-interest story who hears the haunting sound of mandolin music drifting through the air. She encounters Giuseppe, an elderly man who plays his mandolin in front of a run-down building and attracts busloads of tourists.

Giuseppe performs a romantic song written by Vito Fontana, a famous musician of the 60s, and in between songs, he tells the tale of his lost love, Julietta, who left him for someone else. Now, Giuseppe keeps his memories alive through his music. Guiseppe’s tale is both personal and universal and speaks of the heartaches and joys of love and of life in Naples in a time gone by.

THE FIRST ESPRESSO

This story is essentially an allegory about the discovery of the coffee bean, a small red berry, and its journey across time until it became a staple drink of the Eastern and eventually the Western world.

The story unfolds through the voice of an old teacher in the marketplace of Aksum in Ethiopia, who relates a story about Kaldi, a young Ethiopian goatherd who discovers his goats dancing beneath the moon after eating mysterious berries. Unfortunately, the local monks try to destroy the fruit in a fire but only succeed in releasing its essence instead.

The berries continue their journey and cross the desert with Omar, an exiled healer who survives by drinking a bitter brew that grants clarity and endurance. The journey of the berries culminates in a remote monastery where a gentle young monk named Idris brews a coffee for the first time, and the drink eventually finds its way into markets, caravans, homes, and into everyday life.

THE PSYCHIC DETECTIVE

Lucia Pellegrini is a psychic working for a secret Italian government organisation called Intelligentsia. She is asked to catch an art thief who has been stealing famous paintings in Rome and other cities, but the culprit is hard to track because he seems to have special powers. As Lucia investigates, she meets Bruno Esposito, a charming man who sweeps her off her feet.

Bruno turns out to be more than he seems, but he is not an ordinary thief. What he does with the money is a shock to Lucia who faces a difficult decision about what to do, but she comes up with a solution that allows her to keep her job and also the man that she loves.

THE MIRACULOUS JOURNEY

The lives of two very different young women intersect on a dry and dusty road on the Nullarbor Plain. Riley Hayes comes from an Australian country town, whereas Sophia Tran is Miss Cool Efficiency, a scientifically minded travelling photographer who approaches everything with academic precision and a wall of secrecy.

Even though their journeys are driven by grief and loss, they are both searching for the same thing. Riley is looking for a legendary Aboriginal place deep in the Outback that can heal a broken heart, but Sophia is looking for evidence that this miraculous place doesn’t exist at all. Together, they embark on a journey across the vast Australian landscape, determined to uncover the truth behind the legend.

THE SOMBRERO

An adventure story for YA readers.

Set in Mexico in the 1930s, this is about a boy called Miguel who stumbles upon a cave in which he finds a sombrero. To Miguel, it’s just a hat, but it is, in fact, a special hat. And over a period of time, Miguel’s life changes. The hat allows interesting things to happen, and some of the things that Miguel can imagine even come true. But one day, the hat disappears, and Miguel embarks on an adventure to get it back, a life-changing journey that opens his eyes to the idea that his thoughts create his reality, and it is this which eventually helps him to track down his hat.

BRIGHTSPARKS

A story about the kids of today who operate on a different frequency to everyone else. They come fully loaded with an understanding of how things happen in the world, things that adults are only just beginning to appreciate. They relate to each other in a much more open way and communicate ideas that you only read about, or things that are only of interest to those of a metaphysical disposition.

HEARTBROKEN MAN

A story about a 30 year-old tradesman, a carpenter called Gareth, who has a busy and successful business. He has a lovely house and two little kids, but he comes home one day, only to be informed by his wife that she is leaving. Gareth is heartbroken and immerses himself in his work because he doesn’t want to talk about how he feels. His elderly father accompanies him on his jobs and can only sit back and offer him love and support. Gareth is experiencing a change in his life that’s for the better, but he doesn’t know that until later. What he does discover is that the universe works in mysterious ways.
